The VTrap is one of a handful of innovative solutions for professionals and amateurs wishing to record broadcast-quality audio without the constraints of fixed studios. This compact portable studio meets a wide range of needs, offering portability, acoustic performance and award-winning design.
The VTrap is a portable studio designed for audio recording in any indoor space, eliminating the need to build a recording booth in non-studio environments by correcting acoustic disturbance. With VTrap, sound is transmitted from the source to the recording unit with precise attenuation and reflection, without being subject to the acoustic problems created by the space in which it is located.
The VTrap is designed to eliminate acoustic disturbances such as echo, reverberation and ambient noise using specially developed materials. Independently tested and validated for its acoustic performance, it ensures recording quality worthy of the best professional studios, even in noisy environments.
Weighing just 7 kg and installed in less than three minutes, VTrap is ideal for mobile users. Whether at home, in the office, or even in atypical locations such as hotels, cultural centres or caravans, this product offers total flexibility. Supplied with a practical carry bag, it's perfect for professionals on the move.
Winner of the Red Dot Design Award 2024. The ‘Red Dot’ award has established itself internationally as one of the most sought-after seals of quality in design. VTrap combines aesthetics and functionality. Available in five colours, it can also be customised to blend harmoniously into different environments. We were lucky enough to design one for RadioHouse, as you can see from these photos. Its modular and compact design makes it easy to install, clean and store, ensuring practicality and durability.
The VTrap is on sale on the Podcast Magazine website (price €1,499 inc. VAT with standard colours and without customisation) or can be hired from RadioHouse. It allows you to record in ideal conditions whatever the room you're recording in (windows, echoes, etc.) but it's important to be in a quiet environment.
You can place it on a table or hang it on a door if you want to record standing up. A window allows you to see a screen positioned behind the studio.
